Gibson / ES-225T / 1958 / Sunburst Finish / Guitar

This is a really nice example of a single pickup 225 model w/a thin body. Its Dark Sunburst finish has a very beautiful patina having had very little play time by its 1 & only owner throughout its last 62 years. Its a very cool 16″ guitar made at that time by Gibson having very pretty laminated Maple top, back & sides to go along w/its single black P-90 pickup & its sharp Florentine cutaway. Its fairly full sized 1 piece mahogany neck is perfect for those who like that sort of thing such as us ! Its dot/bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard feels great & plays like butter w/excellent original frets. Its 6 individual Kluson Deluxe tuners hold tune well & work perfectly. These came w/no labels yet is ink stamped “ES-225T” in 1 F-hole & its got an inlanders stamped “T” body date code which dates to 1958. Its beautiful multi-laminated 4-ply pickgard is slightly warped but perfectly intact. When new its only owner replaced its trapeze tailpiece w/a very user friendly Bigsby Vibrato finishes her off quite nicely. Its uncracked w/no mods or touchup ever. Just a fabulous user friendly example that’s near mint overall (other than 1 small piece of binding now repaired) & comes in its original Brown Tolex Case.
