Gibson ES-335TD (1960) – Long Pickguard, PAF Pickups
Offered is a 1960 ES-335TD from Gibson, featuring a dot marker neck and long pickguard.
This model represents an early period of ES-335 production, characterized by its semi-hollow construction with a solid center block.
The instrument shows light wear and weather checking consistent with age, while remaining in overall excellent vintage condition.
The guitar has been refretted and fitted with a replacement nut for improved playability. The tuners were previously changed but have been restored to period-correct Kluson units.
The pickups are original “Patent Applied For” types, and the remaining hardware and electronics are reported to be original.
Tonally, the instrument delivers the characteristic early ES-335 response, combining a focused center with open resonance and clear high-frequency articulation.
