Gibson / ES150 Sunburst P90 / 1952 / Guitar

This ES-150 is from 1952, the serial number is Z2435, the Z means '52. Besides our (possibly strict) verdict that she is in "Poor Condition", she's a real players-grade guitar. She's perfectly playable and sounds great, precisely how an ES-150 should sound.  What contributes to the fact that she's a players-grade guitar is mainly the playwear on the body, the fact that she has had a repaired neck-crack, a neck-reset and a refret. The benefit of this is that she won't be needing any of that work, something that is often much needed with vintage guitars like this one.  The neck-crack was repaired by an unknown luthier before she arrived at our store. The neck has been repaired in a fashion that is perfectly stable en playable, but has been done rather boorish. But besides it looking ugly, it's stable enough to be played. Ofcourse the crack can be repaired once more in our repairshop, but this is a huge task and it will never look like "new" again.  Besides an overspray on the headplate of the headstock (and the new frets), this guitar is fully original. The body has her original finish, and even the pickup, jack input and the wiring are original. A players-grade guitar at a players-grade price!  Specifications Model: Gibson ES-150 Finish: Nitro Sunburst  Body Material: Laminated Maple Top Material: Laminated Maple Lefty No Body Details: Creme Binding, 4-ply floating pickguard Neck Material: Honduran Mahogany Neck Profile: C-shape Fingerboard Material: Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 10” Neck Details: Creme Binding, Pearloid Block inlay, bone nut Nutwidth: 43,5 mm - 1 11/16" Scale Length: 648 mm - 25 1/2" Bridge: Archtop Floating Bridge Rosewood Tailpiece: Trapeze Pickups: Original Gibson P90 Tuners: Kluson 'Waffleback' Controls: 1 Volume and 1 Tone control. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
