Folks, here’s a very rare and superb looking all original Gibson Heritage Korina 58 Flying V Reissue from 1982. This instrument is a really clean second hand Gibson Flying V from this super rare edition. condition is really cool, as except a dent on the lower side, this guitar is really clean and has been well taken care of during his 40 years of life, so far. Little blemish here and there, little playwear, some light scratches but nothing sever, you can judge by the pics, the only flaw is that dent on the side. Frets are perfect, super clean, not dented and the immaculate gold hardware is shiny.
The first time that the Korina bodies appeared again was in 1981 – and they were made in the old Kalamazoo factory in very limited numbers – again legend has it that they produced only 100 guitars in the first year of 1981 and similar numbers per year through 1984. Some other sources mention approx.100 guitars per letter, and as these were labelled with letter ranking from A to F, we can imagine approx 600 pieces built, including all 4 different colors and body wood types. Anyway, only a few were natural finish Korina body…
Our super clean Heritage Korina Reissue Flying V 58 from 1982 is from these first batch of new Korina wood instruments. The actual numbers stamped on the Shaw Humbuckers read 1541182 meaning it’s from November 1982.
The original case in excellent condition is included with this amazing guitar.
