As an ES-335 lover, how many times in the past have you found a great guitar only to discover that it had a slim, 60's neck profile that we all loathe? It almost seems like an eternal quest to find a 335 with that meaty, late-'58 to early '59 neck profile that fills up your hand. In the case of these guitars, there actually is something to be said about neck girth and in that light, we would like to present this 2012 ES-335 and let me tell you; The craftsmen at Gibson were having a great day when they made this guitar. No skinny, wimpy neck here: This thing is literally a hand- full and puts a smile on your face the instant you pull it out of the case. In case I forgot to mention, the tone and resonance is better than 9 out of 10 335s we ever allow to enter into the hallowed 'Elkcave. We're that picky, so when Lee walked over with this guitar and smilingly said, "Check this bad boy out", I could only return his grin because it's that exceptional in every aspect. It's simply one of those rare guitars to make it out of Gibson where everything about it is just...right and we have no qualms about saying so.
