Gibson / J45 Banner / 1944 / Guitar

This J-45 was made in 1944. Stocks were at their lowest point during the Second World War. This ensures that this Gibson has some typical characteristics. The whole guitar is entirely made of mahogany, including the top. This can be seen in the Sunburst, which has a slightly darker burst. This gives a different sound with slightly more high-mids, which fits well with the balanced sound of this Gibson. The neck is made of maple with two walnut parts in the middle, which makes it a 5-piece neck. The neck has a slightly thicker C-profile that plays very comfortably and ends with the golden Gibson logo and the distinctive banner logo. The neck block is made of poplar. The sound is incredible and typical of a vintage guitar. This Gibson is very resonant, has a balanced sound with an impressive lows, present mids and a characteristic highs, exemplary for a slope shoulder dreadnought. This J-45 is in very good condition and is a very fine example of a banner logo J-45. There are the expected traces of use on the sound box and neck with beautiful weatherchecking across the entire body. The finish of this J-45 is also completely original with the exception of a small area on the top/centerseam where some Retouche is present. Otherwise there are a few standard repairs. The mahogany top has a repaired centerseam split. There is a reglued brace on the treble side of the soundhole, and the back has two repaired cracks and that's it. This Gibson comes with its original case that is still in extremely good condition. Consignment. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
