Gibson / Jumbo Centennial 8 Of 100 1994 / 1934 / Guitar

In 1994 Gibson turned 100 years old. To celebrate this event, Ren Ferguson and the Custom Shop released a number of special guitars limited to just 100 pieces. One of these guitars had to be a tribute to the brands first Jumbo. Only 100 Gibson Custom Shop 1934 Jumbo Reissue guitars have been master built and signed by Ren Ferguson on the COA as well as the president of Gibson to commemorate the 100th anniversary. This 1934 Jumbo is therefore also the first reissue of this very special model. The Jumbo was the direct counterpart of Martin's dreadnought. What's special about this model is that they based it on a Unique One-of-a-kind 1935 Jumbo that was part of the Chinery collection and nowadays resides in a European Collection. The involved Collector showed us the original guitar. The Jumbo features the typical slope-shoulder body that is made of rosewood and includes a Sitka top. The rosewood fingerboard on the mahogany neck, is embellished with custom inlays and ends at the iconic 'Style 3' headstock inlay and the old-fashioned, yet beautiful pearloid logo. Most striking is the elevated pickguard that many Gibson's were equipped with in 1933-34. Very cool! This Gibson is in good condition, which actually does not cover the charge. She is still very clean. There is a dent and a small blemish here and there, which means she would be rated very clean/excellent condition, but she also has a small crack in the back, which has been repaired excellent. In addition, there are two holes in between the tuners where the gold jubilee plate has been mounted, and which can be found in the case. Fortunately, she still sounds exceptionally good and really contains her own unique sound, making her a worthy tribute to the first Jumbo that Gibson brought to life. Consignment sale. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
