Gibson / LG-2 / 1948 / Sunburst / Guitar

This Gibson LG-2 from the late 40's is as sweet sounding as they come! An intimate, harmonically rich acoustic guitar, with a ton of vibe and a great "opened-up" tone as well as excellent playability.
This nice guitar solid spruce and mahogany construction, with a nicely aged warm sunburst finish, a mahogany neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard, a rosewood bridge. It has the original Kluson tuners too.

This guitar in is good shape for it's age - it does have normal finish checking, some finish wear around the sound hold, and some general wear consistent with age. No breaks and cracks.
The guitar boasts excellent play-ability with good angles. Notes just jump off the fingerboard of this one - is a great example of an earlier post-war LG-2!

The FON has completely faded away, but according to the specs and the previos owners information, it is from the late 40's

It comes with the original hardshell case.
