Now available, a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original black finish.
This is a rare example of a maple boarded Les Paul Custom that shows some play time, with wear to the gold parts and some buckle rash and dings on the body. This is an early example with the lacquered maple fingerboard and a 3-piece maple neck.
Some minor changes include:
- Older medium jumbo refret & new nut
- Replaced jackplate
Otherwise this guitar features both of its original patent # pickups, untouched wiring with 4x original pots dating to the 17th week of 1976, and the guitar has survived with NO breaks or repairs to the neck. The guitar is setup with 10s and plays with a low action and a nice straight neck and smooth turning truss rod.
