Gibson / Les Paul Custom / 1978 / Natural / Guitar For Sale
Now available on consignment, a very well played 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original natural finish and a maple fingerboard.
This is a rare example of a maple board Les Paul Custom that has been well played in its life. Most of the original parts have been replaced on this guitar with exception of the bridge, tailpiece, switch, and switch ring. There are multiple top cracks on the maple top to note (please see photos), despite this the guitar has had no neck breaks, and is a rock solid player with mostly high quality modern parts including:
- A past refret with medium jumbo frets
- Seymour Duncan APH1 pickups
- Replaced pickup rings, pickguard, knobs and jackplate.
- Modern replacement gold plated Grover tuners
- The wiring harness has been replaced with modern Gibson parts.
Otherwise the guitar has no breaks or repairs to the neck, and the finish remains original. The frets have some minor play wear, and the guitar plays up and down the neck with no issues.
Overall a great playing mid 70s Les Paul custom, includes its original chainsaw Gibson case.
