1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard
We are proud to offer an exceptional 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, serial number 9 0351, with documented provenance to Lenny Kravitz.
This instrument was owned by and used by Lenny Kravitz, primarily in the studio and on rare occasions live, with a signed letter included.
Beyond the provenance, this is a highly appealing early 1959 Burst in its own right. It shows a beautifully faded honey finish over a birdseye maple top with subtle figuring. As an early 1959 example, it features a full neck profile measuring .88 at the 1st fret and .97 at the 12th fret.
The guitar has been refretted with brand new frets by Glaser in Nashville and is described as playing exceptionally well across the fingerboard.
The factory sealed double black PAF pickups measure:
- 8.25k neck
- 7.80k bridge
The guitar weighs 9 lbs 1 oz and is described as perfectly balanced.
A rare opportunity to acquire an excellent 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard with documented rock provenance, strong originality, and outstanding player appeal.
