Comments:
In mid-2019, Gibson restructured its lineup into the Original Collection. This eliminated modern electronics in favour of historic specifications. The Standard line was split into '50s and '60s variants. The '50s model uses heavy, rounded necks and Alnico 2 magnets. The '60s version utilizes a thin neck profile and hotter Alnico 5 magnets for crisp, punchy midrange rock tones. Originally introduced during Gibson's experimental era, this unique Blueberry Burst finish blends deep blue, purple, and fuchsia tones over a figured maple top. Unlike Standards from 2006 to 2018, this 2023 Standard features a completely solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body for maximum acoustic resonance.
