This is a museum quality example of Gibson’s earliest 80’s attempts at making a true 1959 Reissue & when they started making better guitars across the board. Its Honey’burst finish is quite lovely over a very flamey maple top. Its see-thru cherry red finish is brilliant & she looks like she’s 2-3 years old. She originally came w/2 early factory HB-L & HB-R pickups, original pots dated to the 19th week of 1988 w/a nice pickgard, Kluson tuners, nickel tun-a-matic bridge & stop tailpiece. It’s currently equipped w/a killer set of “Throwback” PAF’s, new chrome hardware & a set of Grover tuners but all original parts are included. Keep it as is which is fabulous or make it stock once again. Just in from its original owner, David Franklin, whom acquired it on 11/23/88 from Allegro Music in Coral Gables, Florida for a hefty $1695. + taxes having its original bill of sale. David added all the parts & kept everything for its next caretaker. It is truly Near Mint & comes in its original Brown Tolex hard case.
