Gibson / Luthiers Choice Advanced Jumbo AJ Madagascar Adirondack / 2006 / Guitar

Gibson AJ Luthiers Choice acoustic with Adirondack and Madagascar rosewood from 2006. This fantastic Advanced Jumbo was Custom built in the Montana Custom Shop in 2006 under supervision of Luthier Ren Ferguson. With it's dramatically figured Madagascar Rosewood back and sides and the sunburst finished Adirondack (red) Spruce top, this AJ is a very open, crisp and powerful sounding instrument with matching impressive looks. This AJ, in some aspects, compares well to the Brazilian Luthier's Choice AJ from 2002 that we also have in the have, and both are interesting to compare to the Cocobolo Luthier's Choice AJ, which is also in the shop, to see how these instruments differ from each other. This is the re-creation of the original AJ from the 1930s. Only some 300 of these originals where made back in the day, and having sold some of those we can testify to the authentic sound of this specific instrument. This guitar features features a Adirondack Red Spruce top, Madagscar Rosewood back and side, '30s-style rosewood vintage bridge, mahogany neck with bound rosewood fretboard, inlaid mother-of-pearl arrows, and Gibson logo, vintage firestripe pickguard and open geared Waverly tuners. The instrument is in very good condition, close to excellent really. It only has some dings on the top near the bridge and binding/lower bout/treble side, angelhair signs of use on the back and some weatherchecking on the neck and headstock. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
