Well Well Well we have here an ultra rare & the final iteration of 1 of the most important “Jimi Hendrix” guitars he’s been seen playing live on the infamous Dick Cavett Show in 1967. This totally cool, clean & all original example of Gibson’s SG Custom in its rarest option of Polaris White that is truly stunning w/a beautiful patina all over & not faded yellow like most of these. Its bound ebony fingerboard has the pearl block inlays most seen on many Les Paul Customs over the years. If you google the specific Cavett show you can see it live & we have a few still photos attached. Its got its 3 original Pat. # sticker pickups connected to its original pots dated to the 32nd week of 1962. Its all gold parts are worn cool & she’s still sporting her original Kluson Ribbed Back tuners & Maestro Vibrato w/its white plastic handle. Its original Green’d-out pickgard pulls it all together. These late 60’s examples are even more rare than the early 60’s type & this one is so outragious & quite a killer player. Other than some play time & a few weather checks, overall she’s quite excellent & comes in her original Black Tolex/Yella lined hard case.
