Goodall / THR OM Honduran Rosewood German Spruce / Guitar

Goodall guitars from California are considered among the best steel strings in the world, and this one is no exception. This Traditional Honduras Rosewood Orchestra Model, in short THROM, consists of a selected Honduras Rosewood back and sides, combined with a Master Grade AAA German spruce top resulting in a full, rich and balanced sounding guitar. Why German Spruce? German spruce is in terms of sound character between Adirondack spruce, (Bright and powerful) and Sitka spruce, (open, round and warm in character) German spruce offers the best of these two tone woods, Powerful, clear without being harsh, but with the openness of Sitka spruce. Actually we consider German spruce to be the ideal top for steel string guitars. But because it is not native to the USA, it is more expensive, quite rare in the USA, and hence, not used that often. This Goodall is masterly sounding instrument, and to my knowledge the only one that holds both the characteristics of typical American western guitars, but manages to link that to the characteristics of typical fingerstyle guitar builders such as George Lowden, James Olson and Kevin Ryan. The perfect all-rounder, built by master luthier James Goodall in California, completely by hand, and perfected down to the last detail. With a 45.2 mm nut and 58.2 mm string spacing. With a clear conscience, I dare to call the James Goodall's Orchestra Model one of the very best OMs available at this point in time. The guitar has a smaller, more comfortable body compared to the dreadnought, but is also powerful and clear in the low end and mid without affecting the trebles. The guitar also has a special bracing pattern that makes the bass and middle stand out. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out.
