This is one of the most accurate “George Harrison” period examples of an early Duo Jet we have ever had in our 28 years in biz, its original Black finished plastic “drum” laminated top is incredibly clean, its Natural finished mahogany back & neck have only slight play wear still retaining most all of its original finish, its 2 D’Armond pickups are super punchy & have that fantastic bright tone one can only hope for from these rare solid bodied Gretsches, its rare factory installed “Hump Top” inlaid pearloid inlaid fingerboard is clean with its original frets have only slight wear, its original white Lucite pickgard is in the case w/a chip missing & now has a perfect replacement pickgard installed, all chrome hardware is clean, its open back tuners work quite well, equipped now with a short arm Bigsby Vibrato & correct rocking bar bridge but its original Melita Bridge & its “G” cutout tailpiece are in its case pocket, its label inside is still very legible, its got 2 original pots (its 3rd pot was replaced w/a pot from 1981), all of its electronics are original, overall its excellent & one of the most original & best”Beatle” Jets on the market, she comes with her original polka dot gray hard case.
