Gretsch / Synchromatic 400 / 1952 / Natural / Guitar

Just...wow. This is a 1952 Gretsch Synchromatic 400 6040 acoustic archtop in Natural with an added Melita gold bridge and gold DeArmond "Monkey on a Stick" pickup. These are a hard find, and we're not mad at the upgrades. Our Synchromatic 6040 is an 18" wide, 21" scale, non-cutaway Maple back & side archtop acoustic with bound F-holes (earlier models were cateye). The neck is 5-piece in Maple and Rosewood; and it was in '51 when the "Synchromatic" chili pepper inlay returned to the headstock after being halted in '48. There is an added gold Melita bridge and a DeArmond "Monkey on a Stick" pickup. The condition of our Gretsch is above fair. She needs a nice, loving forever home and lots of love. She has playwear, some scratches and dings, and the binding is hanging on for dear life in some spots. She's a workhorse if you'll let her. The Synchromatic comes with a Gretsch Hardshell Case.
