Grover G-98g / STA-TITE TUNER SET / 1932 / Gold / Guitar
Ultra rare and original complete set of tuners as used by all the greatest builders in the '30s. These were installed on many high-end models by Gibson, Martin, Epiphone, D'Angelico. They were used on L-5s, 000 and D-45s, Excels, and more top-quality models. They differ from the later version for the squared-off top and bottom ends of the fixing plate, and for the rivet instead of the screw. Gold-plated brass, fully functional condition, Grover brand impressed below the rivet head. Gold plating is worn on the buttons, in good condition on the plates, and a few tuners show more rust than the others. A very rare find for your vintage archtop!
