Hayman / 1010 / 1972 / Natural / Guitar For Sale
1972 Hayman 1010 - Natural by Jim Burns incl. black soft case
Rare 1972 Hayman 1010 electric guitar in Natural finish. These guitars were only built from 1970 to about 1973. After selling his company in 1965 Jim Burns was asked by british major music company Dallas Arbiter to design a guitar called Hayman together with form Vox employee Bob Pearson. The first models, the solid 1010 (three Super Flux single-coil pickups) and semi-solid 2020 (two Super Fluxes), were introduced in 1970. The 1010 features a body made of obeche wood and a bolt-on 1-piece maple neck. The three "Super Flux" single coil pickups produced a nice clean-sound, but also had their own personality. The electronic circuit was simple using one 3-way pickup-select switch and 1 Volume - and 1 Tonecontrol. The bridge was a strings-thru fixed bridge with 6 individual adjustable saddles, machineheads are original Grover tuners. A rare, good sounding instrument, easy to play with its own personality. Comes in black soft case.
