James Tyler started out doing custom guitar work and repairs in the early 1970’s. His reputation grew by word of mouth up through the later 1980s and early 1990s when a lot of top session players and artists in the Los Angeles studio scene trusted him to give them exactly what they needed. He listened to his customers and pushed the limits by constantly seeking what could be improved. This kind of hand-on experience with thousands of guitars and an exclusive clientele has given James keen insight into how things work, and what players want. James Tyler creates guitars that have unrivaled build quality and amazing playability, which is the reason why Tyler was the go to builder for artists like, Steve Lukather, Mike Landau and David Williams (Michael Jackson). This USA Studio Elite boasts the intriguing Black Blue Shmear finish. Other features include an alder body with 3-ply black pickguard holding two JTS5500 single coils and a single Hot Retro humbucker. These three pickups can be tamed using a volume and tone control as well as a midboost control with bypass button enabling the midboost.  This Tyler is in near mint condition. Consignment. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only.
