Kallenbach / El Vera Parlor 3-45 Parlor Presentation Brazilian Alpine Spruce Recent / Guitar

This is perhaps the most beautiful smallest guitar that ever passed by at TFOA, back and sides made of Brazilian rosewood from 1959, matured for almost 60 years, for the top Kallenbach used a master grade AAA alpine spruce from 1978. No doubt also one of the smallest guitars ever at TFOA, rightfully a parlor, according to Kallenbach a 3-45, based on the Martin dimensions, after measuring she appears to have a body width, which is more 2 1/2-45. Not much different but a little bigger actually than size 3. In the past, guitars were all this small, the dreadnought was not invented yet, that came around 1930. These sizes, real Parlors, were the standard in the 18th century, sounding loud and powerful was not an issue yet. but sounding refined all the more. And this little guitar is sophisticated in every way. The tone is sweet, small and heavenly. The construction method is grand and super deluxe. Equipped with a Mammoth ivory bridge and saddle! In the 18th century, ivory was widely used on instruments, but fortunately it is no longer allowed, except for the already extinct Mammoth found in Russia or Alaska. The guitar is built to a very high level, with beautiful style 45 deluxe inlays all around, including Pau Abalone tree of life. The condition is near mint, if you look very closely you can see some angelhair traces of use, but she is still almost in new condition. includes pickup and comes with beautiful Meinel case Specifications Body Shape: Kallenback 3-45 (actually 2 1/2 - 45 in size)  Finish: Sunburst nitrocellulose Dimensions: Lower bout :289mm  Depth        :93mm  Body Material: Brazilian Rosewood cut in 1959 with CITES Top Material: Alpine Spruce mastergrade cut in 1978 Handedness: Right Body Details: Ivoroid body bindings, Abalone style 45 deluxe trim, Colored wood marquetry backstrip sided with abalone, abalone rosette, no pickguard, scaloped bracing, X-bracing Neck Material: Cedar Neck shape: C towards D flat -shape low profile Fingerboard Material: Ebony with tree of life Fingerboard Radius: 16” Neck Details: Micro-dot position markers, Ebony headstock overlay, Ivoroid fingerboard/headstock bindings, SCGC pearl headstock inlay Nutwidth: 47.5 mm - 1 7/8" Scale Length: 598 mm - 23.54" String spacing: 55 mm - 2 1/8" Bridge: Ancient Mammoth Ivory with Ancient Mammoth saddle Tuners: Waverly gold engraved Pickup: Yes unknown, works well  Condition: Near Mint Cosmetic Condition: Angelhair signs of use only Modifications/ Repairs: N/A Tech Notes: N/A case: Meinel deluxe hardcase Accessories: CITES

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
