Karl Jurrs / Karl Jürrs S1 Florentine Moonspruce Rosewood / Guitar

Karl Jürrs has an inspiring background, at first het learnt the basics of the Luthiers Craftsmanship at the Academy of Musical Instruments (or "Musikinstrumentakademien" in swedish) in a 3 year course. His teachers were amongst others Tobias Lindberg (TLL guitars) and Henrik Jansson of Jansson guitar whom i admire a lot. Always remember the handful used Jansson guitars we traded in the past for their unique tone and great stylish looks, but that aside. . Other teachers were Lars Rasmussen (Rasmussen guitars), David Sundberg (Sundberg Guitars), Vilhelm Engström (Vilhelm Engström Guitars) and the by now famous Jeffrey Yong (Jeffrey Yong guitars) where Karl did an apprenticeship. I would state that Karl's style shows the great quality of his teachers, but even more developed his own style with one foot in tradition and his other foot towards a more modern approach.  Karl Jürrs guitars can be custom ordered from TFOA This is a guitar that stood out at the guitar show were we first met him. The top is made of very noble moon spruce, also known as Italian spruce and Stradivari spruce (since Stradivari used the same wood, only found at 'Val di Fiemme' for his famed violins). Notable is the fine grain and whitish color of the wood. The bracing is made of the same wood. Back and sides are made of East indian rosewood, pairing with a genuine 3 piece mahogany neck with a center of indian rosewood. The of center Soundhole, decorated with maple, the florentine cutaway and the size that is although a bit smaller in width, closest to a Ochestra model, make this a very versatile guitar. Tonally with the dynamics of a larger guitar, but with the balance of a smaller guitar. Very joyfull to play and suitable for all styles.  The spotlight is clearly on making top quality guitars. Check out the ebony bindings with matched maple/ebony purfling, the headstock-overlay and underlay, with- of course Waverly tuners,  The nut width is 46,5mm ( 1 13/16") with 57mm stringspacing (2 1/4) and a 650mm (25.5") scale length. The guitar travels in a Hiscox case, the price includes VAT, 5 year warranty. Someone i going to be very happy with this guitar.  Specifications Body Shape: 00/OM Finish: Natural Body Material: Indian Rosewood Top Material: Moon Spruce Lefty No Body Details: ebony binding, matched ebony/maple purfling, Florentine cutways, maple rosette,  Neck Material: Mahogany Neck Profile: Modified C Fingerboard Material: Ebony Fingerboard Radius: 16 inch Radius Neck Details: mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard with side dots. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
