Lowden / F35 Custom Maple/Sitka / 1998 / Natural / Guitar

Fabulous vintage and rare 1998  Lowden F35 build from AAAA Maple and Sitka Spruce. She delivers an incredibly warm and crisp tone with clear and delicate trebles. A delight to play!

This classic Lowden F35 Custom Maple is simply stunning! The AAAA Sitka Spruce top over an incredible AAAA Quilted Maple back and sides have both coloured honey over the years. Appointed elegantly with a Koa bindings on the body, the neck and the headplate make her look as good as she sounds. The tone is warm and full with slightly accentuated upper mids. One can says that this beautiful guitar has a full, round, ‘jazz like’ tone and yet it has much more sustain, clarity and sensitivity than an arch top guitar. The Maple/Sitka combinations in this body size is spot on. Kinda like a sports car. She responds quickly to your command, she can go slow and accelerate real fast when changing from a ballad to an uptempo beat. Sublime! Click on the YouTube link for a sound impression

Her condition is amazing and thus definitely excellent. Some small dings on the top, light signs of use, excellent fretwork. I’ve made pictures of them. Nothing serious, her previous owners have treated her well. Low action combined with the classic Lowden C-shape neck make her play like butter! She comes with a Schatten HFN passive pickup system for a full, rich sound that reproduces this guitars tone very well. These pickups exhibit excellent feedback rejection and good string to string balance.

Trades

We are happy to consider Trades towards the purchase of most of our instruments. Also we do acknowledge that, due to eg. investment costs and market changes, trades usually will not give you the highest return for your instruments. On the other hand trading has its advantages:

utilize the value of your current instrument immediately

purchase that special guitar that you've been searching for, before it's sold to someone else.

save on costs in time and money of advertising and selling an instrument yourself,

eliminate the frustration and potential loss associated with inconsiderate, untruthful and possibly unscrupulous 'buyers'.

We are good at valuing instruments and make every attempt to determine fair trade values.

Our focus is on developing and maintaining long term relationships with our customers, not on one single transaction. If you are considering a trade towards one of our instruments, please call us at (046) 4497124.

Layaway Program

A '90 days layaway' option is available on all new instruments. This is the easiest way to secure that one guitar you've been dreaming of! Simply make 3 non-refundable payments equal to 1/3 of the cost of one of our new instruments (link naar new).

Upgrade policy

The honors of this idea go to a customer of one of my well respected fellow guitar salesman. This customers came up with this brilliant idea and we decided to use it for our customers.

Idea:

At any time you can trade in a new of used instrument bought from us for a more expensive instrument for the same amount you bought it. There are three precondition:

You've bought him here

the instrument is located in greater or lesser degree in the same condition

you show us the original receipt

Example: John bought a Lowden 035 for € 5500 euro in December 2010. Three month later (or two years or even 15 years later for the matter) he decides that the beautiful Rozawood Diamond-28 in Brazilian Rosewood for € 8800 in our shop is his next guitar. He pays for this baby with his current O35 and adds € 3300 (8800 - 5500). It's as simple as that!

Conditions:

The Upgrade Policy applies only to the original owner!

Show us the original receipt of the instrument. When bought at a different store this policy is not applicable.

The instrument should be more or less the same condition as when you bought it! Light wear, very small dents or light scratches are no problem, but a broken neck, cracks and other big changes will affect the value.

The instrument which you trade it should be at least 10% more value with a minimum of € 500.

VAT, shipping and payment costs (Paypal or Credit Card Fees) are not part of the upgrade policy.

Consignment instruments are not eligible for the upgrade policy.

This upgrade policy applies only to guitars in our stock and not "Custom Order" or "Special Order" instruments. You can only upgrade one guitar a year.

Appraisals

a written, dated and signed appraisal on Diamond Guitars letterhead for instruments that are physically and personally inspected by me (105 Euro)

Use our Appraisal Request Form to send us detailed information about your instrument.

Alternatively you can contact us to speak with an associate about sending photos of your instrument. We will need 5-10 photos covering each area of the instrument [Front, back, headstock, tuners, neck joint, etc.]. From photos we can only provide a verbal/email appraisal.

Diamond Guitars Maintenance Package

Oasis Digital Hygrometer  msrp 29,90

A guitar, or any other stringed musical instrument made of wood, is at risk of cracking when the relative humidity drops below 40%. The Oasis® Digital Hygrometer accurately measures relative humidity and can help you decide when to use your Oasis® Guitar Humidifier. Because relative humidity varies greatly, even inside your home, we recommend that you keep your hygrometer close to your instrument.

Oasis Guitar Humidfier  msrp 19,99

The body of Oasis® is made from a specially designed fabric that allows water vapor (but not water) to pass through it. As the vapor transmission takes place, a vacuum is created and Oasis® shrinks to compensate for the loss of water. By watching the Oasis® shrink, you can determine when it is ready for refill. When refilling, you don't have to guess when it is full. Simply unscrew the black cap, fill with water to the top of the container and replace the cap. Once sealed, the water tight container is your first line of defense against leaks. Humigel™, the super absorbent polymer crystals inside Oasis™, are your second line of defense. Humigel™ captures up to 500 times its weight in water in an absorbent gel matrix.polish cloth
