Lowden / F50 Bog Oak Sinker Redwood / Guitar

This Handmade fully custom ordered instrument represents the very best to come out of the Lowden stable. It uses only selected and reserved Master Grade tone woods including some of the finest figured woods available with tonal responses to match. This custom built F-50 uses unique Mastergrade Bog Oak for the back and sides creating a visual and tonal landscape of unheard or -seen proportions and has a custom Flamed Koa armrest bevel. But it does not end there! The top was made from Mastergrade Sinker Redwood. Sinker Redwood stems from California and originates from those beautiful often 1000 to 2000 year old trees which are only used when they have fallen naturally. The 'Sinker' designations tells you it's been on the banks of river for at least 100 year. The body is tastfully appointed with highly figured Koa bindings and the 50-style rosette. The 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck with standard GL shape meets the body at the 14th fret, while the ebony/maple bound ebony fretboard continues its way along the top until it meets the soundhole at the 21st fret where it has been finished with a graceful wave-shape. The ebony headstock over- and underlay offer a great contrast to the gold Gotoh 510 tuners and the ebony bridge perfectly matches the Redwood top. The typical signature piano-like Lowden character is still present through the unique warm, defined and rich sound-palette the blackwood offers. Most ideally suited for fingerstyle and drop tunings like most Lowdens, a world-class instrument. Includes limited lifetime guarantee, CITES, deluxe Ameritage case and certificate of authenticity. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
