It has a sound -aware sound of the late '80s, and is a low -range in the wide range! Mad Professor is a Finnish handmade brand, former BJF Electronics charismatic builder BJORN JUHI. Currently, BJF pedals are so popular that they have premiere in the market due to the good sound. Equipped with VOLUME and DISTORTION (distortion amount), the control of Presence to adjust the high frequency range. The compression is not as strong as Rat, and the sound is close to The Guv'nor. When I actually played it side by side, the sound of this unit had a transparency in the sound and the texture of distortion was smooth. It adopts a heavy zinc die cast, and it is a hand wired specification that carefully incorporates high quality parts by hand. External DC supports 7.5V to 18V (center minus), and when using 18V, you can get a brighter and firm sound.
