Martin / 0-18 / 1943 / Natural / Guitar For Sale

Here we have a rare gem from Martin's legendary pre-war era : this 1943 0-18 embodies history, craftmanship and timeless tone.

With its compact 0-body, it offers understated elegance - but the sound is anything but small. The Adirondack spruce top paired with scalloped bracing (which martin discontinued in 1944) and mahogany back and sides, delivers a warm and articulate voice with surprising projection. Guitars like this one are celebrated for being shockingly loud and robust, despite their small seize with rich bass, clear mids, strong treble and beautiful overtone bloom. An ultralight guitar, perfect for fingerstyle, yet powerful enough for strumming.

This year marks the final period of Adirondack tops with scalloped bracing, placing ths guitar firmly in Martin's "Golden Era" - the same DNA cherished by collectors and players worldwide.
