Martin / 0018 1952 / 2147 / Guitar

Very nice original vintage Martin 00-18 from the year 1952. And yes, this is one of those magical small-bodied vintage Martin's which always seem to enchant each and everyone who plays it. There's just something about that sweet, warm vintage character which is irresistible. Perfect for anything fingerstyle and/or flatpicking and just enought volume to handle a bit of light strumming. For songwriters this guitar will grow to be an integral part of the songwriting proces and a source of inspiration. It is in Good condition and has had two cracks repaired; one pickguard crack on the top and one endpin crack. Both cracks have received additional support on the inside of the body, the surrounding area on the outside of the endpin crack has been refinished. The instrument has also had the regular work already done; neck reset, refret (frets look clean with some indentations only in the cowboy positions), the bridge has been reglued and the bridge plate renewed. Otherwise it looks surprisingly clean for it's age with only some average signs of use and playwear, ready for yet another 66 years of action! The mahogany neck is a sturdy one with a very soft but distinct V shape to it. Included is the original hardshell case.   Body Shape: 00 14-fret Finish: Original Body Material: Mahogany Top Material: Spruce Lefty No Body Details: Tortoise bindings, original pickguard Neck Material: Mahogany Neck Profile: Soft V-shape Fingerboard Material: Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 16” Neck Details: Dot inlays Nutwidth: 43 mm - 1 11/16" Scale Length: 632 mm - 24 7/8" String spacing: 56 mm - 2 3/16" Bridge: Rosewood Tuners: Original open back Pickup None Condition: Good Cosmetic Condition: Clean for it's age with average signs of use and playwear Modifications/, Repairs: 1 repaired pickguard crack, repaired endpin crack with surrounding area of crack refinished, neck reset, refret, bridge reglued, newer bridge plate Tech Notes: None Travels in: Original hardshell case Accessories: None NJ

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.

We do speak English, Dutch and German! Feel free to call in any of these languages and ask your questions! Call 0031-523-232205
