1940 Martin D-18...the War Time Scalloped Braced Monster !

This is one of the ultimate finds in the Martin World, this one owner D-18 was bought new by it's one & only owner, Slim King, it's Spruce Top is played in w/tons of cool wear, it has a new perfect repro ebony bridge & a fresh fret job, its' got a huge area of wear on the back (oh them Cowboys!), it has the usual 2 pickgard crackles & a few on the left side & the back, its all original finish other than some added varnish to the top, has lots of weatherchecking & patina that makes this "Scallop Braced" Pre-War D-18 one of the best & loudest Martins ever produced, photo's of it's 1 owner over the last 70 years, this one will blow you away, VG; comes w/his Gretsch buckled Slim King engraved leather strap in it's original black hard shell case.
