We see no reason in the world to regurgitate the endlessly reproduced specs on this guitar. Nearly every one that is for sale gives the same information and says the same thing. Must be a copy and paste party from the Martin website, but we'll not be able to make that one and nobody spikes the punch there anyway. What we can say with all certainty is among all the D-28s that come into the 'Elkcave, this guitar ranks as one of the best sounding of the lot. Huge, majestic tone with (yes, I'm going to say it) crisp highs and a warm bottom. I don't think Martin can actually make a bad Clarence White model because we've never found it if they did. This particular guitar has been sitting with it's twin (2 numbers away) in a music store for the last 8 years. It's in NOS condition and I personally removed the original strings from the guitar in order to give it a good wipe down. It's restrung and ready to go, so if you happen to be in the mood for a virtually new guitar at a great 'Elk price, give us a call and take it away. Or, take both of them if you're so inclined...we wouldn't mind a bit!
