Martin / D18V Size 7/8 Adirondack / 2011 / Guitar

The Martin D-18 is a force to be reckoned with. Big & loud with lots of warmth, character and a wonderful high-end sparkle. The best version of this instrument can be found in the 30s, also known as Martin's Golden Era. But before Martin began making bigger instruments, they were largely known as a producer of parlor sized guitars, including Size 0, 1, 2, 2 1/2 and size 5 which was a junior guitar.  This Limited Edition Size 7 D18V brings those two worlds together and gives the popular dreadnought shape a parlor-like, small body, named by Martin Size 7. This changes the character of the D18V, not entirely unexpected, rather drastically. The back and sides are made of beautiful uniformly grained mahogany, which is paired with an Adirondack spruce top. The mahogany neck has a soft V-profile and ends with the classic Martin head with open gear machiine heads. Finally the 'belly down' ebony bridge contains a long bone saddle. The Size 7 is very dynamic with compact but strong basses, lively mids and a wonderful sparkle, which lends itself wonderfully to fingerpicking and also to strumming, which is quite unique for such a small guitar.  The condition is excellent with two small weatherchecking marks in the lacquer on back upperbout and several minor dings along the top and binding including one small, deeper dent on the shoulder. Overall in great shape and playing condition and comes with her original Martin TKL Size 7 dreadnought case. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
