Martin / HD28 Custom Madagascar Adirondack / 2008 / Guitar

Martin's Custom department always has special details ready to suit everyone. This Martin is ideal for the guitarist who wants an extra wide neck! This Martin HD28 Custom Madagascar Rosewood Adirondack Spruce top from 2008 is a special guitar. She is made from a beautiful piece of orange-brown Madagascar rosewood in the back and side. As a result she weights slightly lighter than, for example, Brazilian rosewood and some builders say than can make her sound more lively. With a stern and heavy bass, she still remains nicely balanced in the middle and high. The top made out of Adirondack spruce wood has a lot of influence on this. A beautiful clear sound, in combination with the rosewood ensures that the guitar has a special, balanced sound. Everything is put together with hide glue, which makes it easier to transfer the vibrations for a better volume and tone. A Custom Shop will not be a Custom Shop if there is no unique twist on the guitar. This guitar has an extra wide neck with 47.5 millimeters (1  7/8") at the nut, in contrast to the average 42 to 44 millimeters (1 5/8"; 1 3/4"). A fairly wide neck, therefore she also has a wide string spacing of 59.6 millimeters. In addition, she also has a sturdy V-neck with an ebony fingerboard and truss rod. In short, enough to hold on to! In addition to being made of beautiful woods, she has some unique herringbone in the binding. Usually these can be seen with white binding, but with this HD28 they are black which makes for a somewhat more luxurious look. She also had an upgrade to Waverly open gear tuners. Includes case. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
