Martin / OM-28GE Brazilian / 2004 / Natural / Guitar

I suppose I could talk about what my other comrades speak of; You know, the whole "list of specs" talk. I could go on in the greatest of detail about class distinction. Or, on how a Brazilian guitar is rare and on how the tone of Brazilian rosewood is so captivating. I guess I could speak on the virtues of scalloped X- bracing and hide glue (To be honest, I wouldn't know the difference if it hit me in the face). Like being at a wine tasting, I couldn't tell you the difference between a Merlot or a Pinot Noir, regular beef or dare I say it, grass- fed. I could try and impress you with terms like linen reinforcing strips, ivoroid binding, herringbone top trim.  All of that being said, let me speak to you from a guitarist's prospective instead of that of a guitar salesman. I just want to convey how this guitar feels and makes me feel. Playing this guitar is like being in a fine hotel; You know, the one where they greet you at the door with a smile followed by "It's my pleasure." The V neck has the feel of rich leather in a fine Italian sports car- so very smooth. This guitar is the kind of guitar that makes you want to play. It will inspire you, not only to play your best, but to be articulate and precise. You will pay attention to every note as if you were playing in front of a captive audience. Being one of only 181 produced, this is not a piece that your neighbor will have. Is it expensive? Yes, but we all just have one life to live and maybe you should enjoy the finer things before time pushes them into a pleasant, but faded memory. You do deserve a guitar such as this one and if the wife complains, just tell her that you're the one who stands up to pee around your house. That will only make the guitar sweeter on the day it arrives...
