National / 1104 / 1960 / Sunburst / Guitar

National Model 1104 Town & Country Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1960), made in Chicago, serial # T-29446, sunburst lacquer finish, maple body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.
 
Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 13 3/4 in. (34.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 1/2 in. (622 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). All original finish and fittings, with wear overall but no major damage or alterations. There are a lot of small scrapes, dings and wear spots around the back edge of the body and the back of the neck, the face is comparatively clean. No binding deterioration but a bit of shrinkage in the upper waist area; there is a very small hole in the plastic back cover. Complete except the small plastic coverplate for the neck joint is missing. Excellent sound, a good playing example of a fairly rare 3-pickup transitional National solid body. Overall Very Good + Condition.
