No Name / Parlor Guitar / 1900 / Natural Finish / Guitar

This is a very early small bodied turn of the Century Parlor Guitar made most likely in Germany. Its Spruce Top has some lovely decorative trim along its outer border of the top.  Its has 2 different rings of rosette trim surrounding a very ornate black & white pearl rosette similar to a Larson or a Stahl guitar. It also sports a fan of wood on its lower face that’s quite pretty. Its mahogany neck is painted black w/a cone shaped heel. Its split headstock has a sculpted carve unlike anything made today. Its tuners appear original & they hold fairly tight.  Its Ebony fingerboard has an interesting fret configuration having its last 4 frets make way for a beautiful floral pearl inlay on the bass side. Its original pyrimid bridge has an added base plate of rosewood for integrity. Its most beautiful feature is its super flamey maple back & sides explode w/a romantic style & design for its 120 year old age. It has ladder top braces. Its top bound is 8 3/4″ & its lower bout is 1 1/2″ yet this has a huge tone of bass & treble response.  Its got a few top crack repairs repaired quite nicely. Its a cheap date yet would benefit any great acoustic guitar collection & comes w/a nice soft case.
