Novo Guitars Serus P2 — 2026 — Candy Apple Red

Novo Guitars builds exclusively with tempered wood — bodies, necks, all of it. Tempering is a heat treatment process that does in hours what playing does in decades: it opens the wood up, stabilises it, and leaves it with a dry, resonant character that comes through immediately when you pick the guitar up. These instruments don't need to be broken in. They arrive that way.

The Serus P2 pairs two Lollar Gold Foil pickups with a TonePros TOM bridge and stoptail — a fixed, direct platform that keeps the focus on the pickups and the wood. Gold Foils originated in budget Japanese guitars of the 1960s and have been cult objects ever since. Lollar's take on the design is chimey, transparent, and harmonically rich — sitting in a tonal space that standard single-coils and humbuckers don't reach. On a tempered pine body this light, the combination is particularly alive.
