Santa Cruz / OM Custom Old Growth Adirondack Near Mint / 2015 / Guitar For Sale

In the 1920’s, the Orchestra Model was originally intended to be a large guitar capable of being heard over other orchestral instruments, hence the OM name. Although it fit the bill, its relatively large body was soon eclipsed by the mighty dreadnought. Fortunately, the OM had secured its place in history as a powerful and versatile voice for public performance. Santa Cruz was among the first modern builders to reintroduce this now smaller bodied favorite at the beginning of the Eighties. Our practice of combining the most desirable attributes of old and new, rather than copying, made for a very successful introduction of the Santa Cruz Guitar Company to a whole new audience.  This Custom built OM from 2015, built by the talented builders at Santa Cruz, California, shows the Orchestra Model in a breathtaking configuration using abody crafted out of solid premium mahogany in combination with a solid Old Growth Adirondack spruce top. While the the Santa Cruz Orchestra Model already provides a clean, loud mid-range, matching trebles and a full, warm and perfectly balanced bass, this version adds to that a particularly responsive, rich and full character. Other differenes between a standard OM and this guitar include custom top purfling, custom abalone rosette, custom headstock/fingerboard bindings, ebony bridgepins w/ abalone dot inlays, custom 58mm (2 1/4") string spacing at the bridge and Waverl ytuners. This guitar was built for speed featuring a thin soft V-shaped mahogany neck with 45mm (1 3/4") nutwidth, therefore it plays buttery smooth with a great setup and string feel. All these elements combine into an instrument which feels, sounds and plays "premium" for the lack of a better word, and on top of all that it is still in astonashing Near Mint condition making it attractive for both players and collectors alike! Includes original Ameritage hardshell case. Consignment. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
