Sergei De Jonge / OM-C Double Bevel Wide Nut Near Mint / 2018 / Guitar

Sergei de Jonge is world renowned luthier who is based in Quebec Canada who has earned a reputation for building amazing guitar both steel- and nylon stringed. He is considered one of the most important and influential luthiers worldwide. His instruments are comparable with instruments from big names such as Linda Manzer, Michael Greenfield and Jeff Traugot. Many players worldwide love the appearance and versatility of his instruments, they have the unique quality to perform equally well with fingerstyle, flatpicking and strumming. This is a top of the line Sergei de Jonge OM-C Steelstring from 2018. This model is based on the OM (Orchestra Model) but adds a little depth making the instrument sound more focussed and bright. The guitar was crafted using some of the most impressive Birdseye maple for the back and sides we have ever seen in combination with a Bearclaw Mastergrade Spruce top. Other features include a beautiful C-shaped mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, Rosewood body bindings, Spalted maple rosette, birdseye maple headstock over- and underlay and multi-layered wooden body trim. There are also a couple of other details we hardly ever see on these Sergei de Jonge steelstrings. First of there are the two Bevels on the body; one armrest bevel and one "cutaway" bevel the latter of which works together wonderfuly with the elevated fretboard construction. The elevated fretboard construction not only adds a unique tonal character to the guitar but also makes reaching the upper frets more easy. Another, lesser known advantage of this elevated fretboard is that the nails on your right hand are further away from the top lessening the chance of so called "nailmarks" in the finish. The guitar was finished off with an almost gloss like Shellac French polish Sergei de Jonge style. This beautiful guitar is detailed to perfection and sounds like nothing else. The overall sonic impression of the guitar is simply 'overwhelming'. Condition-wise it is still "Near Mint" and it comes with the original luxury tweed hardshell case. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
