Info from the manual: Model SMC-71 was designed to produce high-fidelity tone and volume with particular emphasis for use on classic guitars. Only the highest quality components are used in the manufacture of this pickup. Even though designed for use on classic guitars, this pickup can be used on other instruments with equal performance.
