We were given the honor of visiting Mr. Rex Brown at his home just before the Dallas Guitar Show this past April and as always, it was a treat. Rex is the consummate host and even had a good friend, Ben Bunker there as well. Talk about double trouble! We were given the opportunity to purchase a few basses from Rex's collection and because the man has so much gear, he's always operated under the theory that it would be better for one of his fans to own a "Rex- played Spector" than for it to just sit in a warehouse, gathering dust. In that light, we are proud to present one of Rex's personal 2010 Czech 4LX basses for sale. It's the very bass pictured with Rex in the May 2013 issue of Guitar Magazine and a copy is included with the bass. Usually, when we receive an instrument, we clean and detail it, restring it with fresh strings and have it professionally set up by our tech, but in this case, we've left the bass exactly as it was when Rex presented it to us. Strings, smudges and all- the bass master himself put every one on there. It has been played with Rex's new band, Kill Devil Hill and we're excited to hear the new album when it comes out.
