Stoll Guitars / Blues Bones The Resodile / Guitar For Sale
Blues Bones – The Resodile for sale
A thin-line resonator guitar that transports the sound of the American South both visually and acoustically.
This instrument is based on the fusion of features of two iconic blues guitars, Telecaster* and Resonator. The resulting sound is characterised by crisp twang next to the growling assertive timbre of the resonator. Thanks to the maximally hollowed body, many acoustic components are resonating too.
The electrics are implemented by a lipstick pickup in the neck position and a piezo pickup under the bridge. Since both pickups can be mixed steplessly, the player has a wide range of sounds between electric guitar and acoustic resonator. Especially with frequent changes between normal playing techniques and the use of a bottleneck, this flexibility pays off.
The body base is made of mahogany with a maple top. The neck is also made of maple with a fingerboard of Indian Rosewood. The crocodile pattern was burned by hand into the top and then treated with a flame burst. The complete instrument is sealed with oil and wax to preserve the natural feel of the wood and still protect it optimally.

Stoll Guitars, Germany
Handicraft - Made in Germany
We value clean and high quality handicraft and selected materials. Thereby we pursue the concept of quality "Made in Germany". All of our guitars are made of solid tonewood. Before processing these valuable tonewoods we keep them in our workshop for years to dry slowly, as it is best for their determination.
Our bindings are made of wood, nut and bridge are made of bone and dots and inlays are of mother of pearl.Small SeriesOur guitars (standard models) are built in small series of maximum 4 pieces. In this way, we save time and can still control the technical quality of our work. and keep the technical quality of our work fully under control. we combine time-saving work with the best possible view of the technical quality of our work.
Quality From the Start
Even with our entry-level models, we set high standards of quality. Good sound, good workmanship and solid tonewoods here are also a must, as in the upper price ranges.
Most of our woods we buy directly in the country of origin. We also dispense with expensive glossy brochures. The benefits we grant to you.
Enjoyment of Work
Only those who have pleasure in their work, do it good and conscientious. Therefore, all our employees, including the trainees, have their own field of responsibility, which is regularly reviewed and is growing with the acquired skills. By doing this we constantly give new challenges which makes work interesting and varied. This applies also to our
Concept of Education
From the very first day we confront our apprentices with the real life of a luthier. Instead of sweeping the workshop they learn to build guitars from the start. Firstly with a lot of support and control, over time more independently they build our entry-level models Primera and PT59. By this concept we are able to offer entry-level guitars in the classical section under and in the steel string section slightly above 1,000 Euros. In advanced level of training, the apprentices are then successively introduced to the premium quality guitars. Accordingly the availability of Primera and PT59 is reduced. Economically, Environmentally, Politically Correct.
For a handmade guitar from a local luthier you invest 100% of your money in the quality of the instrument, while the price of guitars from overseas is more than 50% of costs for transportation and middlemen. Short transport routes and the production under European environmental standards is environmentally friendly and reduces carbon emissions. By investing in a local quality product you will not only add value by over 100% but help to maintain our quality of life.
