This Tommys Special Guitar Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red was built by Tommy Metz who owned a guitar store in Viersen (Germany) until he suddenly and sadly passed away just over a year ago. Tommy was by all accounts an extremely passionate human being with a "guitar heart" who started his own guitar shop (Tommy's Guitar Lounge) at the tender age of 19 and eventually started building his own instruments. This candy apple red Stratocaster was made in 1999, it weighs in at 3,3kg and features an alder body, pearloid pickguard containing 3 Fender Custom Shop single coil pickups and standard Stratocaster control setup, vintage style tremolo, C shaped maple neck with slab rosewood fretboard and Telecaster headstock and Kluson tuners. This guitar was built by Tommy Metz who owned a Guitar Store in Viersen/Germany until he passed away in 2015. Tommy was a very gifted lutier building guitars using only the best components on the market. His guitars can easily compete with american Custom Shop instruments and Tommy was building instruments for payers like Larry Carlton and Carl Verheyen. All his guitars are handmade by himself, using selected woods, and best available parts such as Jim Rolph Pickups, Calaham bridges etc. Including brown Alligator-Style Tolex case, polishing-cloth, COA and "Tommys Special" leather strap.
