1963 Fender Stratocaster Original Refinished in aged Sonic Blue.

This is an exceptional looking and playing real vintage Stratocaster. Neck dated 02 December 1962 with Pots dated 2nd week of 1963. The guitar was released to retail in 1963 and comes with the original hard case. I am the 3rd owner and this guitar has spent most of its life in the US with the exception of a stint in Asia where it currently resides with me.

I know buying a vintage instrument is a big and costly decision and making sure it is the ‘real thing’ can be stressful. I can assure you everything said here is exactly how this instruments is and it represents amazing value for a pre CBS Fender instrument. For the sake of disclosure I purchased this guitar from the previous owner and was told all the pots were original, one was not. I searched all over the world and found an exact replacement with the exact same pot date and had it installed.

I previously had a 5-way switch installed but the original 3-way is back on the guitar.

The bottom tone knob doesn't grip the pot well and spins sometimes. It needs a small piece of tape to create some grip but I have left it as it is.

The back trem spring cover has a small chip of one of the screw holes (as pictured)

3 of the 5 original trem springs installed. The other 2 are lost.

Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fretboard with original clay dot inlays. The neck is amazing with a bone nut and 6150 jumbo frets plek’ed to perfect level. This is a super fast playing ‘C’ (not too thin) neck. I have lots of photos so please let me know if you need to see anything.
