Roger Strömberg is an established luthier from Luleå, Sweden. The Alto guitar is a 11 string instrument that was designed by the Swedish guitar maker Georg Bolin in collaboration with Professor of Music, Per-Olof Johnson to play renaissance and baroque lute music with guitar technique without transcription. It is tuned g-d-a (a#)-f-c-G /F-Eb-D-C-H. Strings 6-11 are standard 6th E strings. The usual scale is 590mm. The alto guitar is build with a deeper body than a classical guitar. |
