Adrian Lucas / Pavilion Sweep 12 Grand Auditorium / Guitar

Indeed the guitars styling reminds a bit of Andy Manson guitars, and they have sort of the same British background. The delicate and quite unique marquetry rosette and headstock overlay, are really showing the beautiful detailing. Adrian Lucas is a not only one of the top-luthiers from that big stubborn Island on the other side of the Northsea that doesn't want to be part of the EC anymore - but Adrian is also a highly appreciated teacher at the Newark school of Lutherie. This guitar is made strictly of reclaimed woods such as reclaimed and beautiful 4 piece Douglas Fir that is in general like Spruce, for the back and sides Adrian used Reclaimed quilted Sapele, for the neck he used reclaimed Honduras mahogany.  Most of the tone-woods likely past 100 year of ageing prior to Adrian using them again to make this really amazing sounding Pavilion sweep guitar. This guitar has 20 frets in total, and the brilliantly designed cut-away with 13-16 fret access (Bass-Treble side) allows easy acces to all the frets. This Pavilion Sweep has specs that will strongly appeal to a player who leans towards a warm and clear tone, and wants the best in modern playability. With its 15 3/4” Small Jumbo body, lightly braced Douglas Fir top that reminds of a very open Adirondack spruce top with added warmth, a comfortable modern C neck with low profile neck this guitar reminds of a mix of Collings and Lowden. The articulatation and definition were Collings is famous for, but definitely with European Roots, the piano like clarity and warmth found in Lowden and Manson guitars. But flexible enough to be a strummers guitar as well, with a low end clarity with beaufiul warmth and great thump, a full strong midrange, beautiful rounded but clear treble response - Specifications Body Shape: Pavilion Sweep Model Finish: Natural Full Satin Osmo Oil Finish Body Material: Reclaimed quilted Sapele Top Material: Reclaimed Douglas Fir Rosette - Peghaed Reclaimed Oak Body Details: Reclaimed Oak Bindings, Wood multiple reclaimed Oak Purfling, binding and Rosette,  Neck Material: Mahogany Neck Profile: C shape Fingerboard Material: Ebony Fingerboard Radius: 16” Neck Details: Reclaimed Oak peghead marquetry,  overlay, Side Dot  Inlay, 0 fret construction Nutwidth: 44.5 mm - 1 3/4" Scale Length: 645 mm - 25.4" String spacing: 58 mm - 2 5/16" Bridge: Reclaimed wedge, with Ebony Bridge Pins Tuners: Gotoh SG381's w/ ebony buttons Pickup None Condition: New                                                     Cosmetic Condition: None Modifications/ Repairs: None Tech Notes: None Travels in: Hiscox Pro II Hardshell Case Accessories: None

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
