The BSE115T is an 8-ohm, 200-watt RMS cabinet featuring a single 15-inch speaker and a high-frequency tweeter. It is part of the "BSE" (Bass Speaker Enclosure) series, which Ampeg introduced as a more affordable, compact alternative to their flagship Classic and Pro Series cabinets. During this period of the 1990s, Ampeg production was handled by St. Louis Music, which had acquired the brand in 1986 and revitalised it by focusing on reliable, professional-grade gear. The "T" in the model name stands for Tweeter, distinguishing it from the standard BSE115 by including a high-frequency driver to provide more "snap" and definition for slap bass styles. While the BSE series was marketed as "entry-level" for Ampeg, these cabinets are highly regarded for their durability and "round" vintage tone, often used as standalone units for small gigs or paired with a 2x10 or 4x10 cabinet for a full-range stack.
