This is the 1st true “Brazilian” Rosewood true spec Reissues made to the overall specifications of a prewar D-28, this Limited Edition HD-28 has a hand-selected and high quality Spruce top w/forward shifted prewar style X-bracing, gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back, sides and peghead overlay, beautiful herringbone top trim, rosette & back stripe, its body sides and headstock are bound with ivoroid, and headstock also has ivoroid and black purfling. Its mahogany neck has an unbound ebony fingerboard having 7 etched diamonds and squares like the original 30’s D-28’s, it has a 1 3/4” nut width & a 25.4″ scale length, its got a carved ebony bridge with a drop in saddle, she has sealed-back C .F. Martin logo’d tuners with ebony tuner buttons, a pretty tortoise pickgard, and an interior label signed by C.F. Martin IV, this is # 14 of only 100 produced w/serial # 496329, it is near mint overall w/only a few blemishes, comes complete w/its original warranty paperwork dated 11/22/91 in its original Martin envelope & its product brochure, it comes in its original molded hard case.
