Epiphone / Casino / 1963 / Guitar

Original 63/64 Epiphone casino made in the Gibson Kalamazoo factory in great condition. There are a number of features which make this a very special guitar. First is the beautiful finish which is the rare ‘royal tan’ honey sunburst. The headstock is the classic 'coke bottle' headstock and this is one of very few Epiphone Casinos which was produced with all nickel hardware. The nickel plating on both the trapeze, the bridge and pickup covers have aged nicely and match the patina of the faded 'honey' sunburst top perfectly. It has a deep purple Brazillian rosewood which is in great shape with very little wear. The varnish on the rear of the neck is intact and shows no wear through to the wood at any point.  It supports it's original Gibson P'90 pickups, and wiring as well as the original volume and tone knobs. The P90’s are powerful and balanced.  The frets are worn but original but the guitar plays effortlessly with no fret buzz or choking. At some point it will benefit from a fret dress however that decision should be best left to it's new owner. The guitar is missing its Epiphone pick guard. This Casino is unquestionably one of the rarest of these models ever produced and is a very desirable and collectible guitar being in great shape and extremely rare. It would be easier to find a 64, Gibson 330 than a similar spec casino in this colour, condition and with the same spec. It is  in all respects a very special guitar with a true vintage vibe. An iconic instrument as borne out by the list of guitar players who made the Casino part of rock and roll history such as the Beatles, Keith Richards, Pete Townsend, Dave Davies and others who continue to do so. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
