Fender / Jaguar / 1964 / Sunburst / Guitar For Sale

Now available on consignment, an early 1964 Fender Jaguar in its original 3-tone sunburst finish.

This example of Fender's top of the line model has seen significant play time, with fantastic provenance and history right here in Australia. This guitar was owned by singer/guitarist Ray Woodruff from 'The Kravats', a Hobart based pop band that supported the Easybeats on tour, and had a few #1 Australian hits back in the 1960s. We are selling this guitar on behalf of the family, which was originally purchased by Ray brand new in 1964.

The guitar itself remains in nearly all original condition, with exception of professional re-fret and new nut performed in the last 15 years, there is little play wear on these frets. Its currently setup with its original 6 saddle bridge, playing with a low easy playing action.

The guitar features a neck date of March '64, and the original wiring appears untouched, with the pots dating to the 21st week of 1964. Both original pickups remain untouched, as well as all of the hardware, switches, and plastics.

A fantastic playing '64 Fender Jaguar with great provenance to boot.

Includes its original Stamford export case with original tremolo arm, and mute.
