Fender / Jazz Bass / 1964 / Olympic White / Bass For Sale
Now available on consignment, an original 1964 Fender Jazz Bass with an older refinish in Olympic White.
This example has been in Australia for some time, having had the body and neck fully refinished long ago with polyurethane and a replacement decal. Other features include a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with clay dots, and a June neck date. This lines up with the neck-plate serial number of L34xxx.
Most of the original parts remain including both of the original pickups (1x black bottom, and 1x grey bottom both with original windings). The original tortoiseshell pick-guard has no cracks, and the hardware is mostly correct for '64 including the reverse tuners (replated), screws, and bridge plate. The saddles are modern replacements, as are the strap buttons.
At some point in the past the neck was re-fretted with a new nut, there was some sanding to the fingerboard at this time however the 7.25" radius was retained. Its currently setup with a medium action, slight relief on the neck, and round wound strings.
